 OPPOSE THE PROPOSED QUARRY EXTENSION NORTH/WEST OF I680

WHEREAS, the health and safety of the students at Sunol Glen School could be compromised by the proximity of proposed quarry extension; and

WHEREAS, dust, noise, excess traffic and pollution may negatively impact children playing on the field at Sunol Glen School; and

WHEREAS, a quarry extension the North/West of I680 would create an unfavorable aesthetic atmosphere adjacent to Sunol Glen School; and

WHEREAS, the proposed quarry extension would have a life of forty years, disrupting the children and staff at Sunol Glen School well into the next century,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sunol Glen Unified Board of Education and the Superintendent. of Sunol Glen School will support this resolution on behalf of the students and staff at Sunol Glen School.
